The Carnival of Brazil is an annual festival held between the Friday afternoon and Ash Wednesday at noon, which marks the beginning of Lent, the forty-day period before Easter.

Undoubtedly the largest carnival in the world the “Carnaval do Brasil” has an average of two million people on the streets at any one time, it’s not surprising considering the shows and floats that are displayed by the local Samba Schools of which there are around 200.
